The Georgian Asylum Process
Georgia is a signatory to the 1951 Refugee Convention. Asylum applications are submitted to the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Applicants are issued a temporary identification document during the review period. If an application is rejected, appeal shall be made within 15 days and if your application is declared inadmissible, claim shall be submitted within 10 days in the Tbilisi City Court.
